Black LS1 T/A? Custom Restrictor in intake that limited boost?
Heya!
What was your final feeling about using varied size restrictors to limit top end boost while seeing better low and mid rpm gains?
Are you still running that setup? Still driving your car while building the new engine?
Has anyone else tried this idea/setup since?

I DEFINITELY like the restriction method for driving around town when I wanted 6 PSI of boost. It took all of 5 minutes to jack up the driver's corner, remove the retrictor (slight venturi design) and VOILA! , back to 10 PSI. Of course, I up'd the octane when I did this.
If you want to review my little experiment, it is at:
http://www.mlbuie.com/BlackLS1TA
Go to the
"Tech" Link in the Side Bar.
Go to the
- 5. Swapping from 6 PSI to 10 PSI in 5 minutes or Vice-Versa
link on the page and I have a little explanation with pictures.
If it's unclear, ask me more and I'll update the page, too.
