Default White smoke coming out of exhaust

Alot of it, when idling, some when crusing. doesnt have any wierd smells with it besides the regular exhaust smell.

I Took a look under the hood and the rubber elbow just before the thottle body was loose? could that be it?

are you losing any coolant?

how loose are we talking on the inlet elbow?

that's after the MAF, unmetered air is BAD. Especially with boost.

dont think im loosing any coolant but not %100 on that. Tighten them up still does it (was after the MAF).
Also some is coming out of the engine compartment, posibly from the driverside head.

Im scared its the head gasket.

check the coolant

you should be able to smell the coolant in the exhaust if it is the gasket

a leak in the intake system after the MAF is bad, under boost you'll richen up because your forcing the air somewhere other than the motor. But off boost it'll lean it out.

You will definately smell the coolant if your burning it.

Just checked the coolant and it seems that i didnt loose any (yet?). still at the full mark.
havent dove it to much, maybe 20mi since it was smoking.

But the dipstick (for the coolant) was covered in a brown goo.

brown goo is the typical dexcool gunk <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

check for oil floating on top of the coolant. Remove the radiator cap and look there.

i highly doubt it has anything to do with rings. You'd have oil coming out all over if you toasted a ring land.

the gaskets will take some abuse, trust me. I've got the pic's to prove it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

look for oil mixing in the coolant as a first sign of gasket damage.

I bet its a gasket. Not too hard to change. I had to flip=flop one of mine this weekend. Took one full day to drop motor/tranny...remove heads....flip-flop one misinstalled gasket and reinstall all. Much easuer from the bottom

After rereading your post, are you sure its not the typical pcv problem. One other thing.....when i had a stuck open injector, it fouled the plug and the gas looked like steam as it burned in the exhaust

Well, just checked the coolant and...its brown, think its got oil in it!

This hasnt been a good week for my vehicles!!
Saturday my 86 blazers engine took a dump, engine is knocking, now i blow a head gasket on the TTA.
This sucks, i got two vechiles so i can have a back up and they both take a dump! need to get my bike back together so i can use it.

I dont know why i friggin blew the head gasket, didnt boost past 5psi, saturday took the cutout off to show my friends what it could do, but i didnt run it that hard. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Firebird]" title="" src="graemlins/formula.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[whiner]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" />

I havent heard of those yet.

Ive been hearing alot about "cosmetic boost gaskets" were do you get those
ANy one know whick ones would be better?

Is ARP the bolts of choice?

Also was thinking of getting some truck heads from Valvegod ($450) to drop the CP while i was at it. Any one know if they are fully assembled or do you need to swap your valves and springs over?
