Deeper in the 8's with CE

Went to the local track today and was told to make sure I come back next year with a chute. :jest:

First pass I left on low boost, not sure how the track was.
60'- 1.48
1/8- 5.83
mph- 125.69
1/4- 8.94
mph- 158.48

After seeing the 60' and the mph I knew it had a .70 in it. Sure enough.

Second pass
60'- 1.33
1/8- 5.68
mph- 127.82
1/4- 8.78 :)
mph- 159.06

Third and forth pass I was being greedy and wanted 160mph. But the track wasn't holding anymore. So I guess I have a goal for next season.

Still have to get a race weight but should be 3,7??. Boost was at 26.5 psi with max timing at 21*. 110 fuel with Meth inj.

Congrats Mike, man that is one fast street car.

Red91vette Oct 29, 2005 08:07 PM

Yeah i'd say so, how much "street driving" does that actually get? Must be nice to drive an 8 second car around.

69firebird Oct 29, 2005 08:23 PM

That is amazing, your car is getting faster and faster

sure would be nice to drive around an 8 sec car.

bet if you ever raced it on the street the people around you would even know what you were packing

Still footbraking it or Rossbrake this time? Congrats and keep it up man.

2001WS6Vert Oct 29, 2005 09:20 PM

What do you need a chute for? That car's not fast enough to go to the second turn off yet.

Whistler Oct 29, 2005 09:30 PM

With an overdrive... awesome.

Billiumss Oct 29, 2005 09:36 PM

Way cool Mike. Congrats on the times!!!

Nice job Mike! It's just flat amazing what you're doing with that car. A full second+ better than last year. Let's see if you can do that again this coming year!

Oh yea...Understand something...you're not allowed in Cinti (Edgewater still open thru November) unless you call and tell me you're coming!

frcefed98 Oct 29, 2005 11:04 PM

Man, your car is a bad MF'er:hail:
One day, I will know how a turbocharged LS1 F body feels to go down the 1/4.

That car is just flying. I was impressed when you were running 9.4s in Bowling Green at that weight in 95* heat and now its picked up .7 and 11mph in good weather, thats awsome.

350-Z28 Oct 30, 2005 01:17 AM

I am thoroughly impressed with those times. Looking to delve into those numbers with mine in the next few years. Have any tips and tricks that might help? Before i forget to ask, are you running a twin or single turbo set up?

2MuchRiceMakesMeSick Oct 30, 2005 02:10 AM

Thats MOVIN. Congrats on the numbers

It's about time you put some timing in it :P

Will you put some real fuel in it already and get a 60 out of it?? :jest:

Not bad for a street car :D

TA2SLOW346 Oct 30, 2005 07:02 AM
