Ok.

Heres the final numbers on pump gas of my setup.

Once again to reiterate:

Lets just say I almost **** myself when I saw the final results:

this is on 12.5 lbs of boost, 16 deg's of timing and 12.6 a/f ratio.

I sure hope they go back and retune the fuel to something more like 11.0-11.2:1, otherwise it will be a very short lived motor.

Tuned for 11.0:1 on a dyno jet = 11.5 on the road.

Ya, I thought it was the A/F ratio that you would normally run on an N/A motor, but hes the master, so Ill leave it at that.

He told me I can run it on the street here without any problem, so I trust his judgement.

here are just a couple of pics...

If you don't mind sharing, I'd like to know some of the specs on your setup. GT55=88mm turbo? Injector size? Compression ratio on motor? Intercooler core thickness? Cam=FM7? Heads? Thank and congrats on the outcome of your new setup! I'm hoping for similar #s when I get mine back in a few weeks.

I'm going to sound like a dick for saying this....

You can't run that lean on an FI motor on pump gas and be safe. Something bad will happen (detonation). Have him richen it up a lot, shoot for 11.0:1 on a dynojet. If he thinks that a 12.5:1 a/f is safe on pump gas you need a new tuner. I'm hoping there is more to the story like the wideband reading was off or something.

That 12.5:1 a/f will go to 13.0:1 a/f on the street i real world conditions. 12.5:1 is even pushing the limits when running c16. You have a lot of money invested in a bad *** setup, don't lose it all to a bad tune, i've seen it happen too many times on here and in person.

I'm amazed that it does 800+ on 12.5 lbs. boost. I would have guessed 16 lbs. + to do that. Must be a flowin' *****.

GEEZ..Before everybody makes an"asumption" on things before they know all the facts.

MY dyno reads .7-.8 lean so the 12.6 A\F is actually 11.8-11.9 A\F. I can run this kind of A\F due to the combustion chamber design, cam design and the big *** intercoller up front along with the efficient turbo. The intake air temp is located in front of the T\B and in these dyno test only gets 5-10 deg over oustside temp. If I was to dyno at 11.0-11.2 I would be blowing out black smoke like a diesel. This motor was built as a pump gas setup from the beginning. My N\A motors make the best power at 13.8-14.0 on my A\F display.

Now this is JUST a dyno test for now and IS NOT the final tune for the customer! Final street tuning is next.

Do any of you that preach 11.0-11.2 actually READ the spark plugs to see what is going on in the motor?

ya, its a 91 mm turbo, rc engineering 75# inj's, 8.5 : 1 CR i think its 4 inch core on the intercooler, not sure though, cam is custom cam, i think around 232/232 not sure yet though, afr stage 3 hand ported meaux heads.

No pulls on c16 yet because hes been working his *** off with not only my setup, but a bunch of others as well.

I wonder if in the email he sent me it was a type, maybe he meant 11.6?

I dunno, maybe he can come in here and give us more info on it.
