Fuel system for high boost I am planning on getting the 370ci iron block from gmr speed. I think its the same one "93form" is running with his twin setup from them... I was wondering what all fuel upgrades would I need to support 17-20 pounds of boost? Would I need to get new lines and all? What is a MP t-70 even capable of producing boost wise? |

Thanks... Anyone know how much boost a MP t 70 makes??? |

The MPT70 can squeeze on most setups 600rwhp, above that its pushing the compressor side hard and intake temps will start to rise. If you have a big enough intercooler you may can squeeze a little over 650+. |

850 is right that would be about 700-750 rwhp. |
700rwhp-750 will probably be had if you go all-out with the setup. |
So tell me this, with a forged 370ci iron block, same one that (93formto98ta) has on his twin setup, could I just not even use a wastegate? I dont want to do harm to the engine but from what all of you are saying, I would be able to. |
t t t for above question |

If you didn't run a wastegate, you will have unlimited boost. The turbo will just keep spinning creating boost. With no where for it to dump off to(like a wastegate). The wastegate regulates how much boost you run. Let me know if this helps you out. |

I thought this engine you built is able to withstand the amount of power this turbo can make? |
Dude....... You better start researching how turbo systems and wastegates work, Otherwise you are gonna be in a world of $$$$$ hurt!! No wastegate would equal 40+ psi of boost. The motor will not handle that! |

From what it says, the turbo will give around 7-750rwhp.. The engine has been ran at 724rwhp no problem...If the turbo is MAXED out, then hows it going to do any harm??? |
Originally Posted by fletchls1 I thought this engine you built is able to withstand the amount of power this turbo can make? Yes , the engine can and will handle more power then 724rwhp. You need to understand how turbos and wastegates work. Just b/c the turbo is rated at 750 doesn't mean that is all it will make. Read the stickys at the top. |
If you have a turbo that will move enough air to make 750hp and you install it without a gate, it will move all the air available as soon as it spools. Assuming some kind of LS v8, that would put the torque at 3000 rpm around 1300ft lbs, if it spooled at 2500 rpm the torque would be min 1600ft lbs. Without a gate there is no control, without control the engine will be killed quickly. Kurt |

tmk, a turbo can keep spooling and making PSI.. But eventually you reach a point where the intake charge is freaking high and the turbo isn't able to move anymore air... so when you go up in PSI, after a certain point you won't see any gain.... It's like a saturation point. |
just a 101mm on there and dont worry aobut anything..lol |
