Nice. I can rember when you were tryin to sell the car. I was scrambling like mad to put the money together. I am glad to see you kept the car and are seeing it through to bigger and faster combo's. Okay, I need to get back to work on mine.

It should be around 8:1, final CR will be determined by what head gaskets we choose.

And I really did need to sell the car, I'd probably be better off without it. But with a few thousand more in mods it should be "complete" enough to go into maintenance mode, so I can put my money to better use.

Maybe this is a stupid question, and I realize you know more about this than I do, but are those turbos going to be big enough? Your motor and fuel system, combined w/ the BS3, are capable of supporting over 1000 hp, but if I'm reading the compressor map and specs on Garrett's site correctly, those turbos will limit you to ~700 hp. Am I missing something or just reading it all wrong?

In my experience with outlaw style mustangs two smaller turbos make more power than one big turbo. Look at Mark Vanmeter's outlaw mustang. He runs twin 76mm turbos instead of a 101mm or 106mm single. His car is capable of 2000+ rwhp. It is all about efficiency with the twins.

They have been known to make 600-700hp on single turbo cars. With the nitrous and twins it should work good.

I'm not going for big power this year I just want everything else done, my main focus has been lowering comp ratio, fuel system, etc.

So this is the same kit as before, just different turbo's and some tweaking?

That's good and fine and all, but what he was saying is your turbos are small for a 408" motor, more specifically the turbine side.

Indeed, I never claimed they were huge turbos or that the car would run 8s on this setup, if it makes it to the track this season and is reliable enough to make at least 70% of the races I'll be very happy.

This winter I plan all new headers and turbos, even new charge piping.

Why are you planning on changing up the headers? The ones you currently have look really nice...
