Best guy to talk to Ronnie over there. I have no idea really how long the intercooler is going to take.

In the 10 weeks I've been waiting I was told YES it's set up to be dropped shipped directly to you( more than once by Summit and Griffin). Today after being on the phone for an hour I find out that most likely it was sent to Summit along with 131 other parts. Summit says they don't show in the system.

Last week Summit inquired about the status and was told another 3 to 4 weeks till it was ready to be shipped. But today the tracking number I got from Griffin that they claim is the shipment it is in shipped on the 28th the day after Summit got the latest "current status".

I thought ETP was bad about not being able to track production, Griffin just stole the head up the butt crown from ETP. Maybe the new owners of Griffin will help them remove their heads and see the light of day. I've heard that people at Griffin are watching this thread.

So if you are wondering why your IC has been delayed, most likely it was sitting around for other parts to be made so they could save on shipping vice getting the parts to the customer.

One person there has been helpful, the rest say one thing and never follow up, I won't drop names like the Sales Manager....

All I have to say is Bell intercoolers. I called today for a custom build to spec. It will be shipped this Thursday!!!! Two days from start to finish. Can't beat that!

Considering the CFM rating on the one I am waiting on is 1500 and here are the prices of the closest Bell units.
"4.5039.424.01,48978.0$1,870.004503942404.5040.024.01,51279.2$1,898.00450400240

My cost was about 1/4 of the same CFM rated Bell unit. Grant you that ordering it on Monday then having it by Friday is a hellva deal, 4 times the cost has to be considered. As open minded about cost of my car parts I can't see it.

I had heard that John's IC was in production right next to mine and something happen to it. Then I found this thread and realized that there was something else going on as for the reason why they ALL were being delayed.

It just seems they will say anything or give a BS status just to get the customer off the phone and hold the wolves at bay for a little bit longer.

BELL 2300 cfm =$1000 and three days! Griffin cfm ??? $750.00 around 4 months or more and you couldn't get a straight answer to save your life. I'll spend the extra 250.00!

Are you getting your spec built cooler for $250.00??????

Less than half that and the price I found on the site for a Air to Air flowing around 1500 CFM was $1800.
I gues I should have called but this is cost I found online. looking at the 4.5 inch core and to get the flow numbers close.
$1,870.00
$1,898.00

I can't disagree the with the time frame from order to shipping is killer, but so is the listed price.

But mine was tracked down this morning, it was at Summit along with all the 131 other parts. They are going to be nice enough to red label it and I will have it tomorrow. It was a matter of pushing the right buttons and finding person there that don't breath though their mouth all the time.
