Wideband ?

ok getting the wideband o2 mounted up today...where am i putting it?

i have a dumped exhaust that is like 2 feet long...is 8" from the turbo and like (approx)8" from the dump an alright place to put it? or will it be to close to the outlet and mess up the readings?

MECHAM 06-20-2006 09:58 AM

i heard ~6 inches from the turbo

MiaSSmaro98 06-20-2006 10:00 AM

wat if u have a full exhaust can u put somewere after the y pipe?

navymitch12 06-20-2006 10:04 AM

from what i have read you have to put it after the turbo...just not sure how far it has to be from the turbo...and the dump

MECHAM 06-20-2006 11:21 AM

whether u dump or not has nothing to do with the placement of the sensor.

orange88 06-20-2006 04:37 PM

will they work ok over 12" away?

KraZy 06-20-2006 05:16 PM

Yes it will be fine

MaverickWH 06-22-2006 11:28 AM

Mine is just over 2' from the turbo and it seemed to match what was showing on the dyno. I have AEMs and their instructions say between 2 and 3', but they don't have anything listed specifically for a turbo.

put it between 9 and 3, not down in the 5,6,or 7 position. Less moisture on the probe.
