Default Anybody running a roots style on their LS1?

If so how do you like it? I would think youd be able to get more boost out of a roots style than a snail style or am i mistaken? Post pics of your setup if you have it. Thanks.

It has been tried before. However, the cowl had to be cut and in the end the guy that did it said, "it was not worth the troubles." I suspect that the people that want to do this conversion just want their Camaro to sound like the 03/04 Cobras. To those people I say get the 03/04 Cobra then (not talking about you).

I have a non intercooled Magnuson on my 1998 Camaro Z28. I love it! I am re-leasing a kit that will allow the current intercooled version to be installed on any 1998-2002 F-body.

Actually, the centrifugal blowers are capable of much higher boost, but if you want a smooth reliable, 5-7psi that comes on instantly, the Magnuson is hard to beat.

Feel free to let me know if I can answer any questions,
Ed

Ed, Can you PM me any information on the kit that you care to release? Im very interested in this kind of setup, and I certainly dont mind hacking the cowl as long as I can keep the windshield wipers.

I think the KB or the new 122 maggie could be made to fit, but I honestly haven't tried it...........yet!
Everyone told me the standard Maggie would never fit, and I was able to find a way around that!, so I don't think fitting a bigger blower would be too big of a deal.
I will probably look at those other blowers in the future, but I have my hands full right now with this kit.

00TAproject, PM sent - hopefully I will be starting a new thread today with more info.

Ed, do you know when the MP122 is gonna be released? It makes sense waiting for that to come out. It shoudl be a direct swap with your kit, right? Its just a little longer?

Depends on if the extra length is in the front or rear. Either way, it might be a problem, as the standard unit is a pretty tight fit as it is! I don't know when the 122 will be readily available, I do know that some of the big name shops have had their hands on 122's for a little while now, so hopefully everybody else can get one soon.
