Cometic .120's

So i was talkin to a vendor today, tryin to igure out a way to get my nearly stock CR engine lower. I already have the 72cc heads so it kinda left teh gasket. HE told me about cometic .120's. This seems like a huge gasket. What kinda power would yall recommend with this. Maybe its jsut me but it seems like it might become a issue with the size. Thanks for any advise.

2 questions...... one, 9.6 CR isnt that bad and thats what u should be at anyway, plus everyone ive ever asked says never go with anything but GM MLS gaskets.
two, are u really at 661RWHP on a stock block?

Well im goin forged now but the engine i got i got froma bud that is a w2w stock compression engine. So with the 72cc heads and a GM MLS headgasket im only at about 9.2-1 ish. And i wanna get lower then that if posible. I know that alot of people on here use Cometics, specially the people that are makin alot of power, and that is where i hope to be as well.
As far as stock shortblock power ya. I like to push teh limits. http://video.ls1tech.com/search/99ss...8d2db40fe1.htm Thanks

Hmmmm these gaskets could possibly save me a ton of work and $$$$ when I go FI. Any info would be awesome. That does seem like a huge gasket though.

i dont know about that, its just that the gm's are alot cheaper.
i have cometic .067's
if it was me i woulnt go over .078's and try to stay closer to the stock .058's as possible

SH u think that the .120's would blow apart? Im interested in what yall think would happen. I would assume that Cometic wouldnt make a gasket taht couldnt handle the power but i trust yall over them. Thanks

For anyone that was followin my little thread here I have a update. I talked to Cometic today adn they said that those gaskets are mostly usless. They arent capable of hig power and since they are so big they require machining of the intake and heads since they put the heads so far off the block. So they are only good for lower power cars but since u need a a few hundred bux in machining to make them work ur spendin alot of money for nothing.
So in closing dont bother!! lol GL guys
