Welp guys... Blew a gasket (me) for the last time tonight... I just do not have the patience, time, or money (bought an 02 Z71 Tahoe yesterday for the baby on the way) to mess around with this car anymore... I appreciate all of the advice you all have given me, but due to certain circumstances, ended in complete disaster anyway. Just wanted to stop in and say thanks again for everyones help, and good luck with your builds. If you need any high performance turbo/engine stuff, check my thread in the parts for sale, can't miss it... Labeled 99 roller, parts, etc. If you're in the area, feel free to contact me, stop by, take a look at the stuff and buy what you need, I'll give you a good deal on it all if you take it all. Don't give up on your ride yet. I gave up on FI long ago. NA is where it is at with an ls1. You can make big power with boost, but it takes a big commitment of time and money. Ditch the boost and just drive the piss out of it and you will be happy with your car again.

I know Geoff, seriously... I have a 67 firebird with a 464ci pontiac with ported edelbrocks, victor, 1050 dominator, etc. It's built to go fast, I neglected it and let it rot. I had to have it towed out to my grand parent's ranch and parked it out in the hay field, which is bs. I have a habit of investing big time money and time in a car, and when it lets go... I go onto the next project... I just have to stop now, especially with a car that is supposed to be smogged.

It was keeping my dads 68 GTO (434ci pontiac) company. They started a new ordiance in that town that basically says "no white trash cars parked in your driveway". Maybe I'll work on that now... Who knows...

Same happened over here in alb, no cars to be seen from a public road, so we put up a privacy screen on our gate. Can't see back there anymore:lol: The Goat is garaged, the screened gate is hiding my brothers 95 Formula...we are doing a turbo build on that one:D

Good luck on whatever you chose to do, keeping up these cars is a biotch maintence wise...especially when a turbo is involved:lol:

Don't give up on your ride, just take a brake then get back it.

I may just end up doing that bud... I may just get another piston that isn't dinged, if I can find one individually... Take it to the machine shop and have it shortblocked... I have good parts, just need to get it put together by someone who has the right tools to do the job. I'll keep ya posted. Thanks again.

Sorry to hear brother... dont give up. Trust me I know the frustration... I am feeling the same. Its just time for you to take a break... relax for a month or so... save up 2700$ and buy a forged 347. If I was to do it all over again.... I would have stayed with your setup (Mine similar) and just enjoyed the boost and power. I let the boost bug push me almost too far. Rebuild her... enjoy what you have. Take your time man... you cant give up your hobbies cause of kids... your hobbies take a back seat... but you dont have to give them up.

Just wanted to give everyone an update... DISREGARD MY STUPID *!% the woman caught me posting my ish for sale and busted my balls. Apparently I'm not allowed to get rid of it! LOL Usually they're the ones pushing it out of the garage! Ordering 2 replacement pistons for the new shortblock, and putting it together next Sunday. Will give you guys more updates... Thanks again for putting up with me, and for all of your support!

I finally got to drive mine for the 1st time tonight after almost $12,000 in the kit and 4 months of tinkering.... I'm almost broke because of this car, but man what a rush on the interstate entrance ramps!!! :drive: :devil:
