Advice pls, if you are not too busy!
I want a solid 555 rwhp daily driver. I love the lope and sound of a big cam. I am impressed with the pwr of Turbo and SC.
My question is as follows: can I run a FI application with reliability? Which route is the most reliable: turbo or SuperCharger?
These are the variables that will affect the FI route:
1) Do not know a whole lot about forced induction, however, I am mechanically inclined and pull wrench on the stock F-bodies. But I do not kid myself, I am ignorant to FI.
2) Looking to have a reputable shop tune the vehicle. Looking for a conservative tune, which I hope improves reliability.
3) Looking for 550-600 rwhp and hopefully, lots of torque.
4) Motor will be forged.
5) Do not have easy access to any reputable shops, therefore, just one tune.
6) Will be a daily driver, maybe track once to get some times.
7) This will be in a Vert w/ a six speed.
8) I hear boost is addictive, but so is money and I will not push the combo to any of its limits.
I think this is enough questions for now. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Also I would look into the idea of purchasing a motor/vehicle that has already been built.
Thanks for your time and your input on the forum is greatly appreciated.
