Default dropped my turbo and down pipe off to get coated...

Couple of questions.

Should I have them coat both hot and cold side, or just hot?

If I dont coat the cold, should I get it polished for 60 bucks more? is it worth that?

My hot and cold side of the turbo are about 2 inches from the radiator.

I think its gonna cost me about 200 for everything, except the polishing.

Its supposed to be rated to 500+*C

Should this help with some spool time?

Could this help keep underhood temps down enough to help prevent cavataion from my fuel pump?

Do you really want to listen to a Supra owner?

Well just by logics sake...looking only at the superficial details-

Would you rather listen to:
The owner of a car that comes factory turboed and is known for its stereotypical huge turbo lag due to a child sized thumper...

or

The owner of a car that comes naturally aspirated from the factory...is a domestic should there for be (stereotypically) supercharged.

i would get both the hot and cold side coated since they both run close to the radiator.
and yes it will reduce under hood temperatures.

I would probably get both the hot side and cold side coated, however I have heard the argument that you want lots of heat and pressure on the hot side and as little heat and pressure on the cold side as possible... coating the cold side might work against that.

Just thinking out loud...

Coat the cold side after the intercooler, but not before. You want the heat in the pipes before the turbo, and out of the pipes after the turbo. After your intercooler however, the radiant heat from your engine compartment will be greater than the temperature inside the pipe, so coat it to help it from being heat-soaked. You should probably make some heat shields out of stainless anywhere the cold pipes go near anything hot.

The only worry I would have on coating the inside of the cold parts in what happens if the coating starts to come off? It will go into the intercooler and/or engine.

So just stick with the bling then correct?

also, 60 bucks for polishing is pretty cheap right?

I guess it should actually be ready tommorow night, I'll try to get some pics.

They said it was gonna be like 200 more bucks for polishing, so forget about that.

I'll take pics of the coated turbo when i get it.
