90mm+ turbo cars

anyone running those rediculous large frame turbos.... like the thumper series or something..... i've seen a video of this red LT4 body-style corvette with a 106mm that was REDICULOUS

BAD WS6 01-03-2007 09:04 AM

Those are huge turbos. I think I'm just going to go with two smaller turbos.

orange88 01-03-2007 12:13 PM

do any or you guy run them on the street

Dragframe 01-03-2007 12:31 PM

really those are getting into some big turbos... once your their... your talking jsut insane power.

If you can buy a $1100 Tc76MPS, make 800 rwhp, and drive around the street real well, then there is no reason to have a even larger turbo uniless you are talking gobs of power (like 800 wasn't enough.. lol)

yea, was building a 10" tire car and just ran out of time. @25psi should have been close to the 1800hp mark. But thats what the turbo, and carb. people told me.
but you could still drive it on the street, to get a shake or burger.;)lol

I have a lowly 88mm big frame turbo, seems pretty fun on the street though I have to fix some little stuff that I have blown off for a few years.
