I've been watching this thread since it started and I must say I am very impressed with what you guys at APS has done so far
I'm thinking about building up an LSX (the new gmpp 454 iron block). Even considering going as far as punching it out to a full 500ci (which means I'll probably need to upgrade to bigger turbos? yes?). Anybody have any comments on what heads would really complaint the LSX and get along with the APS manifolds? The LSX comes out the crate provisioned with 6 bolts per cylinder, real nice for high cylinder pressures/boostyness

I'd guess somewhere around $5995 plus shipping costs of approximately $500.

The APS logo is cast on the end tank so all I can think of now is that you could grind it off, hope that helps.

Hey Peter, it is OK to paint the end tanks? I was thinking of painting the top portion Black with Orange APS lettering to match my car and underhood. I just wanted to make sure the paint wouldn't screw anything up if I only did the end tanks. I would also do the bottom ones black as well just for aesthetics.

The shop guys are fabbing up a quick 3 inch exhaust system this morning and then the F body will go back to the dyno room for a base tune..............should have some base 7 PSI dyno figures today..............don't expect too much from this bone stock 80,000 mile LS1 twin turbo engine though.

Hugger, The APS intercooler assembly will be fully powder coated in a black satin finish..............will look really stealth when installed.

Thanks,

Peter

In short when you shut the throttle blade you have high manifold vacuum which pulls open the valve in the blow off valve which in turn vents compressed air back into the air entry duct, hope that helps.

Thanks,

I'd expect around 800 - 850 rwhp from a well built 347 cube engine given good fuel octane and thorough engine tuning. Our shop guys will build up a little 347 cube engine over the coming months as a shop project so we will try a number of different cams, comp ratios and cyl heads to find the best 347 cube engine combination.............will be an interesting project for sure.

The APS twin turbo F body is now in the dyno room..............should have some base 7 PSI power/torque figures within a few hours.
