The turbo exhaust manifold wall section is 5.5-6 mm thick and the machined mounting flanges (turbo flange and cyl head flange) will be aproximately 11 mm thick.

Wouldn't that make the car run too rich or lean depending on where the boost is set in reference to the tuning of the car? Why change it once the car is tuned?

A high quality electronic boost controller is ideal if you're planning on a speed density tune...............this way you can change boost levels from low to high or vice versa and have the correct/safe air fuel ratio under all engine operating conditions.

Can you please elaborate on possible cooling issues?
What kind of temperatures has the car been being tested in? Any problems with overheating? What thermostat is in the test car?
I'm in an area where it is 90 + deg F nearly every day in the summer. I wasn't budgeting for a radiator

I'm worried as well, I live in NM. Desert here and temps right now are from 93 to 100+ degrees.

Please let us know Peter.

The HP tuners software is excellent and very tuneable.................I very much doubt that you would ever want the trouble and expense of going to a full stand alone engine computer imho.

Well said...............the speed density tuning is the best approach if you want to run multiple boost settings via an electronic boost controller and to ensure you have safe afr and ignition timing strategies under all boost conditions.

Do you mean power at the crank of at the tires? This also depends on the fuel pressure and fuel flow of the pumps and fuel lines. At 4 bar fuel pressure (58 PSI) you will need 72 lbs per hour fuel inejctors to support 1000 rwhp for a twin turbo engine.

Price for this Fuel system? Thanks Peter

Are most of your guys just going to buy the Fuel system from APS or find parts and piece it together.

Just bought my 60# mototron.
Just need everything else.

No plans for tunes at the moment.........I can't really understand how any company or person can supply a safe tune without knowing the full specs of the particular fuel system......if you alter injector size size and or fuel pressure the supplied tune will be way off the mark......could be a very over rich air fuel ratio or a dangerously lean air fuel ratio imho. And this is before you take into account varying engine sizes, camshaft timing, comp ratio, etc, etc. Supplying a base tune with so many possible engine variables can be fraught with danger imo and certainly an issue that needs considerable thought before going down that path.

I will have to look deeper into this issue..............maybe it's possible to supply a base/safe tune for a fairly stock LS1 engine when using the APS fuel system at a known boost pressure.

Thanks,

Peter
