Dyno'd again, still some problems...(hiflo)

We are on my 4th dyno session, taking baby steps, however last night something weird happenned, the car is making full boost by 3000 14.4lbs. The boost is going up and down up and down from 3k on varying by as much as 5lbs, but making only 312hp/500tq on dynapack peaked(14.4). We cant get the boost to stay straight or go steadly up. I pulled # 1 it looked fine, pulled #8 and it was a little white at the tip of the spark arch. A/R is at 11 because the motor asking to be a little rich. Iam using the red tial spring (.4bar) wich should give me nowhere near 14lbs. Trying to regulate it with manual boost contrller.
to break it down:
Iam making 1/3 of the power it should be making
it makes 14.4 lbs with a .4 bar spring :judge:

Iam using Nitrous outlet elbow with a Edelbrock intake, and its been suggested to me that with the high boost and the sharp turn on the elbow is creating a venturi affect and starving the first two cylinders. I never heard of such thing with the guys using elbow/carl intake set up.
this shit is way over my head and not many turbo cars here to get advice from.
help please!

can you say hello F1?

Way over my head too? That sucks. Hopefully you can figure it out. Something might be wrong with the WG? My guess?

SELLSZ06 Mar 17, 2007 11:12 PM

I had the red spring and 12 clicks on my turbo smart b.c.12lbs, then switch to a green spring 0 clicks 14.5lbs. and both times after 10lbs it spiked up and down.

Are you really considering getting an F1 procharger? Keep with the turbo you will get it all worked out.

SELLSZ06 Mar 18, 2007 02:22 PM

does anyone have any ideas on what is causing my boost to go up and down, above 10lbs?

ABeasst Mar 18, 2007 02:24 PM

have you tried it with the WG hooked up directly without the Boost controller? Thats what I would try first.

Boostaholic Mar 18, 2007 02:35 PM

I would also recomend going off pure spring pressure first, run manifold pressure to the bottom port and leave the top port disconnected (For tial gates anyway)

SELLSZ06 Mar 18, 2007 02:53 PM

so even with the b.controller(manual Boostsmart) turned all the way down it would still affect the WG?

ABeasst Mar 18, 2007 02:58 PM

it can yes so I'd try it running directly off the intake. Its not that hard to try and would let you narrow down what could be wrong.

How are you determining how much boost it is making? data log, boost gauge, both?

SELLSZ06 Mar 18, 2007 03:09 PM

dynapack and my on in car autometer,

maybe investigate the BoV if it's not holding a steady pressure

+1...Bov may not be adjusted properly and bleeding off premature.

Ill run it tomorrow and see if thats the case.
this finetuning and R&D is not for me.
