how much boost can i run with forged 346 8.5:1 c.r and a proper set of heads?

and a good intercooler? and what kind of fuel? methonal? Need quite a bit more info, but its generally a good practice to find how much RWHP you want to make and select your turbo based on that, instead of looking for peak PSI numbers.

My engine has seen as much as 26psi, but I am 8:1/7.9:1 compression.

If you mean on 93 octane, about 18 psi with a good tune.
