Those who moved radiator up and verticle.... in here

I saw someone that stood their radiator up inside the existing core support and only had to cut a hole for the filler neck. Where can I read more about that style of setup?

rad.
This is mine, not pefect by any means but this was my first time doing any kind of work like this. I used a plasma cutter to cut out the center and welded in some metal plates, then used fiberglass and body filler to do the rest. I am going to tack weld some inch and half square stock to the lip on the bottom of the rad support to keep it level and hold it in place on the bottom, on the top I have an aluminum bracket.
what model griffin is that i want that exact same setup...i like that one better than all the rest and do you have any pictures of what you did at the bottom and what fans you used?

I got the radiator from a friend who sold me his turbo setup so I'll have to check with him to find out the model, the fans are just elcheapo ebay pusher fans. Unfortunately I dont have any pics of what I did on the bottom, it was pretty easy to do though. On the bottom of the core support there is a small lip, I used two pieces of 1.5" square stock about 7.5"s long each and set the outter corner on the lip and welded it in place. I used some camper tape for a cushion on the bottom of the radiator, it worked out great, the hole I cut for the radiator is tight and even without hoses the radiator would stand up nicely by itself, with the rigid stainless hoses and all the turbo crap in there I almost don't even need a top support lol.

alright, got to about page 9 of this thread and still don't have an answer to my question, which is : what is a good combo to keep my 1000whp turbo f-body cool in rush hour traffic on a 115* hot summer with the a/c on full blast?!
(i already threw away the hood latch and got hood pins to fit a big *** be-cool rad+a/c cond+1 single puller fan from a mini cooper S (i know, but the sumbitch keeps the car cool until i hit the a/c even in traffic) and i also have a cheap lil pusher fan in front of the condenser.... any ideas... p.s. i live in Kuwait... it's HOT!!!

Has anyone used a 19" tall radatior instead of the 15" ones. How much harder is it going to be to make it fit. I was thinking about useing a 19" tall one with a ford taurus in a dual row to try and keep it cooler and a better fan. Any thoughts

I have a few good pics of my stand up radiator in my build thread. It's 2 pages long so look at both pages.

So standing up the radiator was the easy part, but finding hoses that worked was a another story. For anyone searching, i'm gonna post a few part numbers to help out.
Upper Radiator Hose - Goodyear 62426
Available from Amazon for at 20 bucks, Its the same length as the stock one without the power steering cooler and it worked perfect for my stand up griffin.
Lower Radiator Hose - NBH FM68 16.5in x 1/34in Flex hose
NBH 901 1 3/4 - 1 1/2 Adaptor
Both available from NAPA for 30 bucks.
I know that the flex hose is not the best looking option but it works perfect and is functional, so anyone looking for a budget friendly option this is your best bet. Putting up pics of both hoses.

Just finished my verticle radiator using the popular griffin. I ordered 2 proform 12" fans (instead of the 10" proform I have seen used before). I will be running one as a puller on the passenger side, and one as a pusher on the drivers side. (Turbo is on the drivers side so I am making it a pusher to keep heat off the fan). I got rid of a/c also. Do you guys think this will keep the car cool in summer weather?
