Default TFS 225'S or AFR 225's

Hey guys Im going with my new setup and I would like to know what everyone thinks. I know the AFR's are proven but Im thinking about getting the TFS 70cc from Bryan Tooley.(TEA) Also working on a custom cam grind. Let me know what your .02 is These will go on my low comp 402 9:1 with Cometics and L19 head studs

You know what I think bro. I have both lol and I like the TFS's although you have to use RR on them. It isn't going to make a huge difference either way on FI. Talk to you soon.

I'm putting together a FI combo as well, and just went with the AFR heads myself, mainly because I got a good deal on them. I'm going for the LS2/NW intake setup. I know alot people dislike the LS2 manifold but I think it will work fine on FI plus it keeps the 90mm TB. I have a FAST/NW now but was told that the FAST going past 16 psi is risky to start leaking.

This was the reason behind me not going with a fast. AFR's are a proven head and seem to love the boost in my buddies vette We were talking about it last night and wondered what the TFS would do for my combo. So I was just looking for other .02

Honestly, I don't think your going to see a difference in a FI application. I thought I read these two heads were only a few HP difference from each (TFS had a few more) when tested on an engine dyno. AFR has seen some stout track numbers to though, so flip a coin and whip out the credit card .

I think your right. I am going to do the AFR's. Now credit cards on the other hand I will not buy anything unless I have cash. Ive been there and done that. Paid it all off and will never do that again.

TFS's haven't really been tested at the track too much mostly because they aren't as many out there right now. In a few months there might be some more testing and might see the differences in the two. The dyno wars have been leaning toward the TFS's although the dyno isn't where we race! I'll make you a deal on some 3500 mile AFRs so I can get the TFS heads to replace them if you like LOL! You won't go wrong with either head or intake combo. If you are using HP tuners or Edit I would do the Victor JR 90 combo, but if you are using a stand alone then I would use the LS6 IMO. Talk to you soon.

I sure wouldn't swap from AFR if you had them already, how much do you think you would gain from it? Why not throw ETP in the mix as well? My 5 year old absolute speed heads are doing a tremendous job, both dyno and track and will hold it's own against most other heads surprisingly. I got the AFR's for $1900 brand new still in the box or I would of been in the same situation on which head to get. For me it was a no brainer though .

I also see alot of FI people using Patriot 6.0L heads doing very well with them, and even stock truck heads, to bad they don't have a thicker deck .
