Default AFR225 head gasket question.....

I have a 364ci and am going to switch to the 225AFRs with the 72cc chamber. Tony at AFR said to run a gasket with at least a 4.125" bore to properly match the heads.

What gaskets are you guys running with the 225s and similar cylinder bore as mine? Thanks in advance guys.

Are those the ones that are supposed to have some fancy ring in them that seal under all conditions or something???? Anyone know what I'm talking about????? I've just heard rumors. I've also heard rumors about some gaskets that are like ~$250 a set

No those are the Cometics. And W2W pushed them to about 23 psi and they pushed out. They also require silicone to seal. I was going to order these but I spent the extra money on L19 head studs.

SCE titans ICS...

AFRs are 4.080 on the chamber IIRC so you'd need at least a .020 greater gasket as those need .010 backspacing from the flamefront.

Yes it is based on personal experience. I have yet to see a set that didn't leak coolant.
