Wastegates and Blow Off Valve placement
How important is the location of the wastegate in reference to the turbine housing? I've talked to a few guys and everyone says it should be as close as possible to the turbo but I think that the design is more important than the location. I'd rather run the wastegate on a Y pipe vs a hard 90 degree angle at the turbo. Right now I want to put them right after the collectors, the pipes will curve up to head toward the turbo collector, as the pipe Y's up I'll add a 1 3/4" U bend the other direction into the wastegate.
As far as the Blow off valves, the intercooler is behind the dash so the pipe between the IC and the TB is really out of the question. The pipe from the turbo to the IC is fine. I was thinking about putting both right on the pipe above the passenger side valve cover.

BOV should be placed pre-IC anyhow, since its the high side of pressure. As for the WG, just place it where are 8 cylinders are vented. Location isn't all that important as is the amount of cylinders being vented.
