Default APS F body reinforced MAF delete hose

Guys, Here's the first pic of the APS F body twin turbo system MAF delete hose, this part will be released by the end of Sept 07 if all goes to plan. Do you guys like the steel reinforcement rings on ther MAF delete hose? This will ensure that the moulded 4 ply nomex reinforced silicone hose can cope with quite high boost pressures. Pm me if you'd like to order a MAF delete hose as I only have very limited numbers.

Peter

I'd love if it that was in the kit, I imagine most of us won't be running a MAF
Otherwise, I'll probably just end up with a chunk of 3-1/2" steel tubing painted black..

Many thanks for those kind words and I'm really happy with the F body MAF delete hose, should make APS twin turbo system customers happy to have this option.

The twin turbo system is designed around using the MAF...............this MAF delete connection hose is simply an option for those who'd like to go with a SD tuning approach.

That'll will work...............though make sure you use stainless steel as you don't want any surface rust form a mild steel connection pipe entering the engine.

i completely agree.. the last thing u need is a chunk of rust going in the intake... plus stainless is a lil easier to shape.. but it warps real easy when u tig weld it.. try to use 1/8" if u go to make one

I guess you could tap the intercooler top tank casting for a threaded IAT sensor and the other 2 bosses can be tapped for either Meth injection nozzles or boost ports.

Thanks,

Peter

Those bosses are not going to come tapped? It looks like they are tapped & plugged in the pic. Is that just a prototype piece? It'd be nice if they came tapped for an M15 meth nozzle.

No, We don't tap the end tank casting.................this way guys can tap the casting to what ever thread they need or require.

4 ply Nomex reinforced silicone with external steel support rings for additional strength at high boost pressure.
