fast 90 or carb'd with elbow

which is better for a boosted application

a fast 90 or a carb'd with an elbow. if you can give your reasons why or no

trying to figure out which way i want to go

Id personally go with a LS2 intake /w 90mm TB...

A LS6 /w ported TB would do the job and cost little to no horsepower as well

The Vic intake is better for FI as it will ensure the airflow gets to all cylinders evenly. Even with the FAST or LS2 intakes, cylinders 7 and 8 can be problem sometimes.

I concur, I would go with the carb + elbow combo...

thanks guys, looks like carb'd intake. i found info on other site the a fast 90 doesnt like high boost unless the intake is taken apart and expoxied

Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

what i find intresting is how "well known" this "problem" is... but if you search, you'll find that noone has ever posted about having this issue.

i think it just stems from it looking like a possibility, since the intake comes apart.

ok ill speak from true experience of both.. it all depends on your setup. im running a fairly large cam. my motor was built for the blower through lme and they had the cam spec'ed for the setup through cam motion. now with the fast 90 i feathered the gas at initial startup to catch idle. now i turn key and it goes on its own. i also give credit to rick@ synergy for his tuning skills. but he also said the gmpp manifold is more to the liking for my motor. run the fast 90 since you already have it. but if you are able to sell it for a good price then switch. i got a hell of a deal and broke even for my setup. and it was already polished!!!!
