What size TB for carb intake w/elbow?
What size TB are you using on your 4bbl intake with elbow? I will be running an Edlbrock efi intake w/ elbow. The engine will mostly be street driven. (see sig) Havent decided yet on cam ( I was thinking 224-.580-114 )
Would a 90mm be too large??? Ant suggestions would be apprecited!
Thanks - Ron

I was thinking fo a Nick Williams TB, but I can only find 90mm's. I was also thinking of running a FAST 78mm TB. I guess what I want to know is will the smaller TB be better on the street? As far as throttle response, and/or touchiness??? What is everyone else running?
Thanks - Ron

FWIW, I switched from a stock LS6 intake and DIY ported TB, to a Carb intake, elbow and 85mm Accufab ( Ford ) TB....
I made fractionally more boost with the carb intake than I did with the LS6...go figure.
Stock TB flows enough for 1000+ in boosted form, that has been proven.
And given most plumbing is circa 3" OD....really, is there any need for a TB much larger than this ????
If most of the IC plumbing is 76mm OD, especially that leading up to the TB....what benefit can a 90mm TB offer ? ( the blade doesnt take up that much area )
