i'm looking to buy some manifolds from a 6.0 and it has the ports on them and i was wondering if i should get them and weld them up. would that be a good idea?

you could just use block off plates, that should work as its hard to weld cast iron.

lol, no they wont pop off. Make sure you use the correct gasket and hardware, and you will have no problem. I asked the same Q before because i am doing the same thing, i had a hard time finding 6.0 manifolds w/o the AIR AND EGR.
