Default I was Bored and decided to do a little work on my Black car LOL!

Well while I had the motor out fixing the crank snout I thought I would clean up a few things on the car like getting rid of all the little scratches and nicks that have happened over time working on the car mainly from the previous owner and various builds etc... So I was thinking I would show this car a little love like I show my SSOM car. Here are a few quick pictures not finished sanding the firewall and a few other things that I am painting etc... should look real good when I am finished though I'll post the ones after its painted in the next couple of days. Pay no attention to my poor photos please LOL!

Hey inspector you forgot the pics, lol

I've done that before too, it happens to the best of us.

Glad to see that you'll be getting that other beast rolling again

What happened to your crank snout? Did it get chewed up by the balancer coming loose?

Yeah it sheared the key and the pins three times the last time it measured out fine, but I needed it fixed right so I went ahead and pulled the motor etc... Sent the crank out to get fixed and double keyed, also changing the intercooler set up so I will be selling my Epp FMIC with the pipeing also. And well the list just kinda got longer and longer etc... But it will look new and well won't be far from it LOL!

With that much prep work, it's going to look great!

Are you going to relocate the wires under the fenders?

Sounds good. What type of intercooler setup will you be installing? What core?
Do you have any pictures of what the crank snout looks like? I have a Eagle strocker crank that got prety chewed up by the balancer, and I was told it would be wiser to just replace it than try to fix it. It is basically just a paperweight right now.

Man, everytime I get envious of the LSx motors, I see pictures of the HUMPS in your engine compartment and thank God I don't have to deal with them...

Doesn't anyone have a conversion to an upper/lower control arm setup for F-bodies?

Thinking about it did it on the SSOM car and I like the look, but don't like the access so I am on the fence, but probably will.

No I don't have any photos, but if you send me some I'll be able to tell you if there were remotely simular etc... And Pete's cranks is one of the best IMO and that is who is fixing it. The intercooler set up is the same one I am running on the SSOM car with some different piping I think it was 4" wide maybe 4.5" and I don't remember the exact measurements. You need to know for some reason and I'll measure it for you etc... I didn't change for anything really larger, but more for better fitment and quality. and yeah I am using PPG paint.

LOL! The orange car is faster from what I can tell it sure feels like it when everything is working right, but it has not been 100% finished ever as I bent the valves in it a few months back. The black car is a little different, but still a 408 with and F1.

Sweet project...go ahead and hide the wires...it looks sick!

Also...if you could only pick one...SC or Turbo which would it be and why? Pros / Cons of both?

Turbo car runs nice it has been a harder car to work on. The S/C car is simple very easy to work on. I don't have to choose right now and so I don't know what to tell you. S/C is more cost effective if you are not a fabricator.

I agree on the !wire mod. Nice prep work, much more than I would've done. DeltaT, I agree on the humps, couldn't imagine how awesome it would be to have that freed up space!
