Default Bigger TB really needed for FI?

I have a Holly 58mm TB on my LT1. i'm only looking for 500rwhp (10-12psi max) i have seen guys here post making alot more then that on stock TB's. I have also heard there only like 2hp gains from a TB upgrade with drivetrain lose. should i keep my 58mm?

58mm should be fine. I made 440rwhp with the BBK 58mm on my L98 motor and no boost, just plain NA motor....

guys are making some good numbers with the stock units,so might just sell mine and pick up a polished stock unit. should have never sold my stocker or my BBK 52mm .

the 58mm isnt going to hurt performance so theres no reason to get rid of it. i say keep it and use it.

Just curious if i would lose anything going back to a 52mm(ported stock unit).

Also on a side note, what about my high flow maf sensor? are they really any better then stock either? people say aftermarket maf's are harder to tune..

Thanks
