help me pick between these 2 cams for maggie 112 LS1 I have 2 cams here, and one of them is going in my car.
Please, I don't want to hear really how I should order a custom blower cam from somebody...just some real world advice if anyone has run something similar.
Keep in mind I have 1.8 crane quick lift rockers...so the lift #'s are higher than normal.
#1) 03 Z06 cam 204/218@ .050, 117.5 LSA...lifts will be .583/.572
#2 Crane grind HR-220/3241-2S1-14 4A
220/224 @ .050, 114 LSA, intake c/l 110, lifts will be .583/.583
This is a daily driven LS1, stock motor, w/ 1 7/8 long tubes. Meth injection for safety only, 6spd car.
My thinking is that the Crane stick will give me more bottom end and mid range torque, which I really might not need with the magnuson. Like to gain a little more pull up top in the rpms, and not give up any down low.
Leaning towards the Z06 stick, but also considering putting the Crane in at 114 intake c/l (basically 4 deg retard) to push peak tq up higher in the rpms.....
suggestions / comments / tried something similar????
