Joe, There was no plans for any larger turbo option for the F body at the time when you purchased your original F body twin turbo system, which I guess would have be close to a year ago now. The larger turbo option was only considered late last year after seeing the demand for a larger F body turbo option.

Cheers,

Peter

Hey Peter.

Good to see you're stepping it up with the new turbos.

How far off will a GTO kit be?

Will there be only 1 bigger turbo option or more ?

cheers

I've not had time to be on the forum lately due to a very heavy work load..............you can always contact APS sales direct by email if you need any parts quickly.

Hope that helps,

The 427 GTO twin turbo system should be ready to ship in late June/early July if production runs to schedule.

That's awesome .

I have a small cuber at the moment so i am thinking of buying the smaller 50lbs kit.

I may be a while off before i build an engine to suit the bigger turbos.

How would these new 65lbs turbos react in a small cubed engine?

Would it be worth buying the small kit now and just upgrading the turbos later

Or too expensive to upgrade so go the bigger now?

What are you thoughts Peter.

Any run out sales coming up ?

thanks for your response .

higher hp version.
The larger F body turbo system was not considered/thought about until late last year after (about 6-8 months after the original F body twin turbo system release) ........I received a good number of emails and pms between June to Nov 07 from customers requesting larger turbos so APS then seriously started to investigate the larger turbo system and larger upgrade turbo option late last year.

Will you offer the same deal or close to it for a kit for a 2005 C6 Corvette?

Going to use the stock motor this year, and upgrade to a 400+ ci motor over the winter months. Would prefer the kit with the larger turbos (to feed the 400+), and be able to turn the boost down with the stock motor?

Send me a PM.... Would like to get something going for this car.... was looking at a Procharger kit, but decided Belts are for pants/trousers!

I prefer the 50 lb per minute turbos on a 347 engine as they spool nice and early on a street car and produce a mountain of torque by 3000 rpm.

This is the twin turbo package with large turbos and is an ideal turbo match for 427 cube engines imho.

Chris.
Chirs, The large turbos we have developed for the F body will suit the GTO and C5 Vette as all have T3 sized exhaust manifold ports.

The C6 twin turbo system is based around a T28 turbine housing and to date APS has not yet planned or developed a turbo upgrade for the C6 twin turbo system.

For guys planning on building a 427 cube twin turbo engine for a C6 Vette application, I recommend going with our C6 ZO6 tuner twin turbo system, see link below,
