Here is the list of new mods to get me in the 9's,
 

Well on weds I will get my new 4400 stall convertor built for the blower since Im driving through the one I have. Along with that is the manual valve body and the trans brake. Now Ill be able to shift it at 6500 instead of it short shifting at 5800. Dont ask how im going to shift it when I have one hand on the wheel and the other on the throttle but ill figure it out. :drive: :drive: :drive:

I am also putting the esp lca's and pan hard bar in along with subframes and relocatiopn brackets. :cheers:

Im hopeing now Ill be able to come off the brake in boost, instead of trying to hand brake it up to only 2,000 rpm.

The car has gone a 1.53 short time, so I figure with the new stuff, ill be in the low 1.4 range and ill pick up some mph with the new convertor so Im thinking maybe 9's in the cooler weather if not sooner. :gruffy:

What do you guys think?

I think you are dead-on Scott. There's a huge difference in launching at 2000 vs 4400 with any boosted application. Though I don't envy you trying to control that thing on the launch! It should be nasty.

9's are right around the corner for you. Keep us posted.

I figure try this Rob then Ill add the big front mount and have julio tune for more boost and run like 20 psi and really go fast...

That thing is going to fly scotty....

I can't wait to see how it feels to launch off the brake on boost....mine will only go to 3500 though....and no where near 20psi... :hail:

Hey Scott after I posted yesterday I was thinking, since you are pretty much stuck on having to shift with one hand, could they somehow set up a throttle "lever" or something similar on the steering wheel so you could use that instead of one of the other knobs? :D

not really, but I figure I will be able to do it. we are finishing the trany and stuff today and hopefully make it to the track next week and se what happens.... :drive:

Scott, you have to see the size of the intercooler I just ordered.

20*11*3.5 :nod:

1.8 psi drop at 1500 CFM :hump:

This thing is going to take up the entire front of the car (sitting at an angle to the ground). :drive:

Yup. If I remember correctly your blower max is 1550 CFM. This intercooler is rated at 1550 CFM (for proper psi drop). The intercooler should be good to about 1000 HP.

This thing is a beast though. With the tanks mounted and all said and done, the size of the intercooler is going to be about 18x22x3.5 It is going to take some front end modification to mount......but since when did that stop any of us. :drive:

I will be building this intercooler from the core (spearco) up. It isn't a plug and play unit.
