Don't know if bigger studs will be necessary or not. Seems like it would offer better clamping force since there are only 2 of them. Might help if you plan to go 10 psi or higher.

wouldn't "truck 6.0L" manifolds work too (with A/C) putting them with outlets heading up?

not on an Fbody as they wouldnt clear the shock towers that way.

Bigger studs won't help....the sealing issue is not a clamping one but similar to our ls1 head/block clamping issue in that not enough bolts. When I tried to use a somewhat thin flange, upon tightening the sealing surfaces inbetween the bolts would flex and allow exhaust pressure to leak out...so i just made mine thicker and since have not had any issues. I wanted to use the factory gaskets but at the time when i did it i couldn't find anyone who had a picture of them (knowing that they are indeed layered steel is nice and would have made me use them) or could not find anyone who carried them, so i improvised and made my own.

Nice work MeanYellow!

And thanks James...I hope so and hope to one day be cool on here

Mean (Andy?) can you take a shot or two from the top to show what the clearances look like?

I heard that manifolds flow just as good as shorty headers. So theres really no point in changing.

I just picked up a set for $30 as well and in the spring hope to play around with them and see if I can get a T6 GT88 setup to work in an FD RX-7. My custom tubular turbo headers were lost by Fedex and now I'll try to make my own which I should've done in the 1st place. Hell I have a TIG why not use it.

What is the most HP someone has made with these manifolds? Anyone hit 1000rwhp?
