Where did you get the C6 manifold flange? I had to adapt a flange from a toyota to work for mine.

Josh at KYTP and there are a few others that make them. I have a thread somewhere on the first two pages here about it.

so i know the c6 manifold will make like same hp as a shorty header but i think the header would spool the turbo faster is there any other reasons ppl dont use them besides cost?

How would a header spool it faster?

Hes assuming that due to increased flow from a header design that they will be better. What hes underestimating is how well cast manifolds hold in heat. the hotter the gas the more it expands and the faster it moves through the given area.

That is what i figured. But the manifolds are more than capable of handling anything you can throw at them.

ok so i understand that the cast holds heat real well, but what about if u heatwrapped the shorty headers and the piping to the turbo wouldnt that still hold in lots of heat PLUS the tubular design flow better so it will spool faster??

With such a short run you wouldn't gain anything. It's about 14" of pipe from the farthest cylinders.

Nothing significant. The cast manifolds will outlast a steel header anyday and they flow plenty well. Also manifolds are like 50$ as opposed to how many hundreds for turbo headers?

so I see the old thread resurfaced lol. glad to see a few guys giving this setup a go. I believe Josh was in the process of designing a c6/6.0 kit when this thread was started, he seems to have done an excellent job as always!

I still plan on making a custom c6/6.0 setup but funds won't allow me to do so until, yes, next years tax refund lol... with this years going into a 365ci motor build. Also this year will allow me to see how well the built 4l60e is going to hold up. May have to go 4l80e or th400.

I was really impressed with WS6Hummer's build, excellent job as well if I hadn't said that already. But I'm uncertain about running such a big downpipe, I think his is like 4", I understand that's close to an average size downpipe, but that's calling it really tight. I do have a BMR k member that came with my car but I don't think it's the turbo designed k member. Might have to change it.

^^ and yup, I agree about those cast manifolds. save the extra bucks and put the money somewhere else. cast manifolds have been proven to do really well.

Guys, I dont think exhaust manifold flow will be a problem any of yall will have to worry about. I saw a car at the LSX shootout running truck manifolds on a 100+mm turbo, they went low 8's with the car not running like it should. Just my 2 cents.

i knoww this is a VERYYYY broad question, but just wonderng what it cost most of you to turbo your car, not including injectors or fueling equipment because if i were either to cam it or turbo it i'd have to upgrade that anyways so im trying to get a feel for the price difference in turbo my cousin works at a machine shop and does weldign in stuff so im sure most of the fabricating we can handle just want a average price

Why did no one put any pics up of this type of setup? Time to bring the one back to life!

I only built 2 of them. One T4 and one T6 setup. After looking at the totonal cost to make the setups work I was only a few hundred dollar away from the the Tube header setups I build. I simpily phased the C6/6.0L manifold setups out of my line up. 9 out of 10 setups I build are custom One Off's. The website is out of date. I quote builds as they come in. A new site is being done, but is taking time due to my IT guys School schedule.
