What Size piping for custom Y for rear mount

Default What Size piping for custom Y for rear mount

well im going to buy piping tomorrow for my intercooler piping and exhaust, im ganna take the stock y pipe off and make a new one with no cats and pancake driverside pipe but i was wondering should i make the new y pipe out of 3inch piping or 2 1/2 piping its a rear mount turbo kit thats going on the car.. thanks

From my unedrestanding you want it to be 2 1/2 I just got an SLP y-pipe it eliminates the crimped pipe

keep it 2.5" to keep up velocity and keep the heat inside the pipes. it works awesome. i had 3" and it didnt work out too good

dont flatten the pipe keep it round!! and stay with 2.5" all the way
