i just saw those pro mod cars with the PSI twin screw blowers but how come funny cars and top fuel dont use them?

instead of 8000 hp they can prolly make about 10,000 hp and trap at about 350!!!!

What?the nitro cars certainly need tons of air to run, hence the big injector hat on top.If they just wanted to put more fuel in it they would run a bigger fuel pump. The reason that nitro cars dont run screws is because they are outlawed on those cars-the sanctioning bodies are trying to slow them down, not make them faster.

I understand what you are saying about them having most the air they need in their fuel but your explanation about needing a blower to force more fuel in doesn't make sense. GL

I guess if that were the case they wouldnt have to change blower speeds and comp ratios to make up for higher humidity or higher alititudes

Correct. The prototypes were 3.3L I believe.

Strictly performance went 9.20's I think with a 2.2L KB with a
281cid 4v Cobra engine and a C4 ( I believe). I believe they
sprayed it though.
