Default Oil Change --more than oil

So I went to get the oil changed on my car a bit ago and when they pulled the drain plug along with it came what you see in the pic, Basically, it's 4 springs and what I would guess to have been half of an outer seal type thing... almost like a collar or bearing where something spun in side of it.

So I have no idea where these parts came from. My only guess is they are in some way associated with the turbo charger. I haven't noticed any performance issues... but where else would something like this come from?

Just taking a guess they could be rings from the pistons as well. I would think you would notice that though.

Looks like slivers from drilling a hole in the pan.

The 4 longer narrow parts are literally springs. They stretch out and snap right back to place. What if what I see as 4 springs was originally one? Maybe like a stretchable something or other to hold something in place? IDK....

they may be the valve seal retainer springs
perhaps incorrect installation caused them to dislodge, i would pull a valve cover and inspect all the valve seals

FYI, theres a feature called 'macro' in most if not all digital cameras that will allow you to get very detailed pics when you are real close up like two or three inches from the object you are trying to shoot. It's usually a feature thats in the front of the menu one button away (not buried in the menu taking four steps to get to). Too bad about your engine btw.

piston return springs and maybe a piece of muffler bearing? hard to tell exactly. J/K well whatever it is, atleast it's not floating around in your engine anymore.

There's a factory heli-coil in the oil pan that the drain plug threads into, is this pieces of that heli-coil? My heli-coil in my oil pan somehow "jumped a thread" at some time, so I know the coil doesn't always stay put...

The short one appears to be, as stated above, a valve seal keep and the others look alot like stock rocker bearings. Pull the valve covers off it should be pretty noticable where they came from. I had 3 of the valve seal keeps in my oil pan after my quack mechanic replaced the springs. That will be the last time a mechanic will touch my car.
Keep us posted.
Good luck

Those are definatly valve seal springs. Same thing happened to a friends car. pull the valve covers and look in thru the valve springs. you should see them missing.

Yup. That's it! In looking at the pictures here, I can confirm that's exactly what they look like.

So now (forgive my ignorance) how serious of an issue are we looking at here? For the most part, it runs fine. In other words, I think I noticed a slight decrease in power, but nothing substantial. So are we talking--don't drive the car... or can I get through the rest of the summer? What is worst case scenario? What could have caused this to happen? When we installed the turbo, we did replace the valve springs, push rods, seals and cam.
