Turbo Technology v.60-1 LS1 Street System
I had a chance to snap a few photos of George and Bob building the 60-1 street system for your 98+ Camaro and Trans Ams. I'm going to hopefully get some more pictures of the build and the install and document them in here. For now here are a few pictures of the parts being built. This kit is very similar to the T76 system as well. The only difference is the intercooler ducting size. (The primaries used to be smaller but we've changed that since the original design so you can upgrade in the future )
Here is the stainless steel manifold sitting in the jig.
This is the two piece v-banded cross over pipe. This cross over is flanged for a 38mm wastegate (Turbonetics or TiAL)
Here is a picture of the 2.5" downpipe (which is identical as the T76 Downpipe (to tell you the truth they are interchangeable); its also upgradable to a 3.00"
This part of the intercooler ducting. Not a lot of excitement here but it gives you an idea of what the parts look like before they show up on your door step.
Couple of things to consider here, this kit is a street system that retains your a/c and your power steering. This kit will make between 400-425RWHP maxed out (60-1). This kit was designed for the stock motor crowd that didn't want anything more. The smaller turbocharger (60-1) gave a fast response (not that the T76 doesn't, but in comparison) and the T76 gives you the ability to make over 600RWHP+. Remember the T76 kit still retains your A/C and power steering as well. If you want more then that its time to step up to a race system like Ryan K and Mighty Mouse
Its hard to build a best of both worlds (street and strip) turbo system but we've done what we can to get you close with our F Body kits

Nick,
Great work, the detail that goes into your work is found few and far between.
Is there any chance a TC66/PT67 etc could be put in place for those who want to max out the factory short block at 500-550whp?

We are going to try something new on this kit as far as the turbo goes. I did some eavesdropping earlier when George and Bob were fabricating..
EDIT: I called Turbonetics and anything in a sixty cover SHOULD fit our systems

Pat-Man, what suspension setup are you running? Just curious how the piping is underneath the car. Also could you give us some opinions about the kit over all? Would apprecaite it a lot. Thanks.

I'm on stock suspension. I can snap some pics this weekend of the piping under the car. Basically the downpipe runs the same route the stock exhaust does with the exception that there is not a y-pipe anymore. Downpipe runs on the driver's side, bends to the passenger side where the y-pipe merge used to be, and mates to the stock exhaust that is still on the car. It hands just as low as my long tubes and 3" y-pipe that was on my WS6 that I used to have.

The kit over all is very nice. In my pics it doesn't look quite as nice as a new kit because this car sat for several years only to be started once or twice a month. Even so, there are no leaks or cracks in any of the piping. The cold pipes are all beaded on the ends so you won't have any couplers popping off. Everything is tucked in really well. The only problem I can see with the kit is that my power steering lines are weeping, just due to the turbo being where it is. Of course, most of my hot pipes are not wrapped (just my crossover pipe) and I am not running a turbo blanket (just what seems to be a cheap shield).
Some of these parts might be for sale next year. I'm going to be moving up to a T6 framed turbo (80 or 88) and I don't think one of those will fit where the current T4 T76 sits.

Here are a few photos of the 62-1 placement. We decided to upgrade the turbocharger at the last minute
In the turbocharger pictures you see the sway bar spacers if you look close.
I took a picture of the crossover pipe in the original post and took another one with it half way installed
Next up is the alternator relocation bracket/kit. This can be purchased separately as well for $375.
And thats it for now...
