Default What kind of Wire Connectors in Tank?

I have been curious if my wires are safe the way I connected them when I installed my 255 in my tank. the pump I had just had the wires that splice into the factory wires. So I Did a regular style crimp connector than heat shrinked them.

I would solder them. Then heat shrink.

A special heat shrink is required for use in fuel.

Crap. I did not use a speacial heat shrink. I have done this over two years ago and have not had any problems but I guess I may in the future.

It all depends on the brand.

I've got various broken customer pumps in with wire connectors & shrink tubing melted.

FYI, buy a good pump kit that comes with a new intank wire harness.

I was more concerned about safety than anything I didn't know if the electricity traveling through the wire could cause a spark and end up with an explosion.
