Default Check my stock fuel pump

I pulled my stock fuel pump today, ( i'm parting out my car- see my thread "fix her or walk away" in the vert section ) and as i carefully pulled it out,
i noticed this rod inside the spring came loose.

Can i just re-attach it and call it good?
What does a good used fuel pump cost these days?
What else should a check before i sell this pump?

Thanks for your help guys!

The reason it came apart is the other rods bent due to an accident.

There is also a good chance that the top of the sender cracked.

Ok, thanks for the response, that makes sense.
Well i don't want to sell a bad fuel pump to anyone, guess i'll just trash it.
