What gas station sells the best, most consistant, gas?
Simple question... What gas station sells the most consistant gas? I know that some stations notoriously have bad watered down fuel, or one tank.is good the next very bad. For alot of us, be it turbo, S/C, spray or high comp N/A one bad tank can send us looking for a new bottem end. So do you have any experiences?
Shell
Chevron
7-11
Diamond Shamrock
Exxon
Quik Trip
Just a few stations I can think of, whats your take?

believe it or not, gas is pretty much gas... there are no real measurable differences... aside from a few additives that really dont make it any better one way or another, they are all regulated and perform the same. I would chose the place with the most turnover... dont go to a little mom and pop store that sees 200 customers on a busy day... their gas tends to sit... go to a Quick Trip or some bigger place where they get new gas constantly... That would be your best bet..

Most stations get their gas from the same supplier, so just because it's a different brand gas station doesn't mean you're getting different gas besides the little additives each adds to their supply.
Also watered down gas is illegal, you can't sell 87 octane and label it as 93. That's what the weights and balances inspection is for, and all gas stations should have a date that they were last inspected and whether or not they passed. Though if there's an issue and they didn't pass the test, they wouldn't be open until they fixed the issue.

I use chevron mainly cause its close by my house, but like every one has said. Its all the same mostly the difference is the additive packs they use. I still prefer chevron tho to shell and both are across the street from each other.

Most of these gas stations get thier gas from the very same bulk supplier. What you are looking for is a new station because thier tanks a relativelyl new and havn't had time to rust or corrode over time. Also the newer the station the better the filtration system is. Most of the time. I also know that our 2008 Mazda CX7 will not run on anything but Racetrack gasoline. The engine light stays on continuously if we use any other fuel. Just some fuel for thought. No pun intended. I would say find a new station that is a well know name with new facilities. Some of these ******** put 87 octane in all thier tanks. My car will not run on anything than 93 octane with booster in it. And some of these local joints use the same octane in all the tanks. My car tells me when one of them tries to get over on me.
