Dual fuel tanks how do you run a new return? My friend has a 2000 BMW 540i we put a turbo 5.3 in. He just now got around to redoing the fuel system, (A1000 pump). My question.... It looks like the factory return runs into the other tank, and then into a siphon hose and then that has a little pick up on it and runs over to the other tank.
We have a -8 return line and the factory port into the tank is way too small. So it would be nice to punch another hole in the tank for a return. But.... if you bypass the factory return line into the tank, how does fuel get from one tank to the other? Im not sure how this system works?? Is the factory return line some kind of pump/siphon to move fuel from one tank to the other???
