I bought these, with the intake, off the internet. I've been to 4 parts houses, one "speed performance" store and Fastenal and they can't tell me for sure.

Can anyone tell me what size the holes/threads are in the end of the fuel rails. I need to cap one side and run a fitting that will lead to a -6 flex line.

I'll try to answer any questions I can. I tried using a 1/2 plug but though it felt like it should thread in, it wouldn't. The best I have found so far is that it is some type of NPT.

If the threads look tapered, it is 3/8" NPT

They look to be chamfered or on the end. I'm thinking -8an o-ring type possibly if they're not 3/8 pipe.

OK. I'm not familiar with how these works, so I apologize if this is a stupid question:

Is there a difference between a -6 3/8 fitting and a -8 3/8 fitting?

Post a closeup of the end of the rail.....
-6 is for use with a 3/8" line. A -8 is 1/2" line. The dash number is the size of the fitting in 1/16" increments. IE: -6 = 6 /16ths, or 3/8.
If it's a straight thread, DO NOT attempt to force a pipe threaded fitting in it.
Likewise, the same goes for it being a pipe thread.
Stay away from any "performance shop" that can't tell you what you have!

I have a friend that has all the AN fittings and I tried a 1/2 inch, and it felt like it should fit perfect but no matter what the threads wouldn't start.

1/2".... are the threads a npt or a straight?? 1/2" doesn't tell much. I'm pretty sure you didn't mean 1/2" NPT..that would be waaay to big to "feel like it's going to start"....
The bevel on the end of the rail looks like what SS1 mentioned. [Strait threads w/ an o'ring.]

OK,thanks for the input. I'm going to order a -8 an o-ring from jegs and hopefully that will work.

They came in and they were, in fact, -8 fittings. Thanks for the help. Much more helpful than all of the stupid parts houses and performance shops in the area.
