Can you delete stock pressure regulator?

Default Can you delete stock pressure regulator?
I am running an inline fuel pump with -6 line to inline fuel pressure regulator, then to the stock rails. My question is what to do with the stock regulator? Can you gut it or is there a plug? Thanks for the advice.

Just did mine today gut it i made a return system with a fuel pressure regulator by the rails

Removing the in tank fuel pressure regulator.
remove the spring clip holding the regulator in the module.
