modifying Fbody Racetronix pump into different tank but there's a twist.

I have a little 89 C1500 sierra I've been doing an LS swap on

I swapped my old Racetronix pump onto the assembly and wired it (Soldering is fine correct?)

anywho, The racetronix has a tiny barb on the very top of the pump with a small hose that had a filter sock. From my understanding, The hose is meant to keep the bucket in the FBody tank full at all times due to lack of baffles in the tank. I do not know if this is correct or not, But since I don't have a bucket in the assembly, Would I be fine capping it off?

here are some pictures for demonstration, I dont have any of the racetronix pump mounted on the assembly though, phone died.

http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/...psn8ln9vk1.jpg you can see the small hose coming from the top of the pump

What do you guys think? should I cap it?

Yes the small line needs to be capped. The line originally went to the bottom of the bucket where the fuel expelled from it spun a jet pump. This jet pump in turn sucked in fuel at the bottom of the bucket to keep it full.

I'm using a 2002 F body bucket assembly in my Superlite Coupe.
