Default Leaking an fittings

I've bought fragola and aeroquip AN fittings. Both are leaking in the same spot, by the pin and at the back of the fittings. (NOT WHERE THE HOSE PRESSES ON)
Summits only suggest was hose clamps, however as you can see in the picture that is not where it is leaking

Suggests, anything...

You probably have a bad mating surface on the the male side. You can buy a conical seal and you should be good. I had to use on on my Jegs -8an fule filter side and been good for over 2 years

I will never buy fragola fittings again.

Over 50% of the fittings (real street ptfe) I have of theirs on my fuel system all leaked out of that same spot at the pin hole.

I ended up using some seco 7 flare seals and still had to tighten them more than I should have to get them to seal.

In the future I will use a different brand.

They've probably been overtightened and the alloy has cracked inside the cap of the fitting.

But cheap fittings may be weaker than quality parts.

Hand tight = leaked

Went 1/8 turn at a time to avoid over tightening and they never stopped leaking.

Did this on both aeroquip and fragola fittings

Recommend a brand?

I do prefer Earls, but dont always use them as they can be more expensive for stuff.

For small fittings, if possible steel is more robust.

I use conical seals on every AN fitting I make up now. They never leak with the conical seal because it is a soft aluminum seal surface that allows for some bite. 4, 6, and 8 AN seals should be in every car guy's toolbox.

In the future I will try Brown and Miller or Tech AFX.

Aeroquip and Fragola are both quality parts, top shelf. There are millions of those fittings floating around. If you're having the same problem with both brands, there's another problem somewhere you havn't detected yet.

Read the post... It's not leaking at the push-on...
We've used several 100 Fragola fittings of most all types, and have not had 1 failure.
What Bob said^^^^^
Now, the Summit stuff....

Did you even read the post or look at the picture. Braided hoses would not fix a thing.

I ended up using conical seals and that cured the problem

Yes I read the post, yes I looked at the pictures. Stop being lazy and build a proper hose. It's fixed for now, but my "opinion" is do it right to begin with. You don't have to like it, or agree with it, but I guarantee you'll wish you'd have done it right when you have a fire because you were cheap and or lazy with fuel system parts.

LOL, you have no idea what problem the OP had. Had nothing to do with the line itself. It was the fitting.

Actually I did. I looked at the pictures and saw where the fitting was leaking. I am not a moron, nor am I a troll. I simply stated if you want a fitting that doesn't leak build a proper hose instead of using cheap push lock fittings. While they are fine for a catchcan, I certainly would not use them for anything fuel related.

X2 zero push lock for me on the fuel side. Catch can have push locks
