Default Fuel pressure gauge sender location?

I have a 97 Lt1 that I swapped into a Chevelle, I'm going to be installing pillar gauges and was wondering where to place the sender for the electric fuel pressure gauge. I am using all AN fittings for the fuel system. I have purchased a fuel pressure AN fitting from jegs. I want to to know the best place to put it. Here is the fitting.

Should this be placed close to the fuel rail or anywhere after the filter on the feed side? I never ran an electric fuel gauge and not sure where this belongs to get the correct reading.
Thanks for any help.

Clint

Bad link, but I run mine directly off the rail. You can also run a line off the rail to a remote location, but the closer to the injectors the better

Monitoring pressure at the rails is ideal, but the regulator is usually handiest place.
