Walbro 450 for 550rwhp?
Hi guys, I did some research but haven't found a really definitive answer so I thought I'd send out the bat signal. I'm currently running a Walbro 255, hotwire kit and Siemen 60's on my turbo 02 Camaro SS just over 500 rwhp. My buddy has a walbro 450 he wants to trade me but I don't know what additional mods are required to run this pump at my hp level or up to 600 rwhp. I don't have the cash to redo the fuel system so is this a good idea? Thanks for any input guys!

See that's what I thought too and I don't have the cash to do all that. I've had a couple guys tell me I'm already at the limits of this 255 with all the supporting engine mods and what not. I also am running on a base tune since I haven't been able to reach my tuner so I'm thinking that there's probably still some power on the table in regards to tune.

I until recently was running 500whp on a 100 shot and was still in the stock pump and factory wiring. It would be sad if a 255 and hotwire couldn't hit 600.
I just recently went to a f90000267 walbro with return and regulator.

That's great news, I think I'll stick with the 255 then and turn the wick up a little more to maybe 10 lbs. and call it a day. I want the 450 but not if its going to cause more trouble then its worth especially if I don't need the added fuel. The only future plans are a L33 short block and more boost in which I will then have to step up the fuel system but for current plans it sounds like I'm right where I need to be. Thank you for the input guys!
