Gen 1 V Racetronix 255 80 psi fuel pressure
I just installed a Racetronix 255 fuel pump in a 2004 CTSV. when you turn the key on the pump regulates at 61 psi. Start the car and the pressure jumps to 82 psi when the V is at idle. With the car not running I can jump the fuel pump relay and regulate pressure at 61-62 psi all day long, as soon as the car is started it jumps up 20 psi to 82 psi. I decided the only thing that could cause the rise in pressure would be the extra voltage available from the alternator. So I disconnected the alternator and bingo the pressure stayed at 61-62 with the car running. So what do I do now, its only a 255 how in the hell is that overcoming the regulator so bad.
Thank You

Sounds like you need a better regulator, capable of higher volume? I'd call one of the fueling sponsors like Lonnie, and get his recommendation. He may have a solution for you, or could point you in the right direction.
