You saying I don't? I run e85 but if it wasn't available I would run 93 with meth. Also avgas (aviation fuel) is 100 octane and around here is $3.95 a gallon I would exhaust all other options before settling on using an octane booster.
I'm thinking I'm going to start mixing 10 gallons of e85 and 5 gallons of avgas to bandaid my small 80 pound injectors.

Most race gases are leaded FYI. It does shorten the life of the o2 sensors but it's definitely good stuff.

I'm at the limit of pump/meth on my car.
Nearest race gas is 35 mins and not open year round (I drive my car year round).
VP Octanium is on the shelf at the Autozone that's 2-3 mins from my house. It does come in handy during certain circumstances.

You know it is a criminal offence to put av gas, 100LL in an automobile? The low lead is kind of a politically correct term. The low lead is as compared to the old 130 octane av gas that had more lead in it, that was discontinued decades ago. Even 100 low lead has way more lead in it than leaded auto fuel had in it back in the 70's. It is over 5 grams of lead per gallon. I burn a lot of it in my plane, but where I fill up you need to be TSA approved to drive out on the field, and they would bust you for putting it in a car. I could sneak it out of my plane in the hanger, since it has high wings and has a drain on each wing, could easily fill 5 pails with it. I've avoided it because of the O2 life expectancy. I have bought it for under $3 per gallon on a contract purchase in the summer. It is fantastic fuel for that money though. It is much cleaner than pump gas, the standards for contaminants are about 100 times lower than auto fuel.
Since I have access to E85 this is a moot point for me. But the boostane looks like it is the real thing.
