new to the swap world 2003 5.3 into a old chevy so i swap a 2003 5.3 into a 56 chevy and its a eletric pedal brand new harness
built to engine spec. i recently got the engine running and i am having issues with throttle. every time i want to accelerate the rpms it idles up and drops back down acts like it wants to shut down but it dont.
any info that can help me out is appriciated

You know My father in law has a Impala SS. It the ls4 and if its in park and you try to rev it, it will only go to roughly 15-1800 and go back to idle no matter how many times you try then when in gear itll run fine. It doesnt stall at all though but I wonder if the non rev part is just thats how it set from factory. My 2500 doesnt do that so it might depend on the model or something. You might want to start with where the motor came from or the ecu and see if thats just a characteristic of the that model.
